For those who download chinese software and realise all the characters are in "??????" then the following might help...

- go to Control Panel;
- click on Clock, Language and Region;
- click on Regional and Language Options;
- click on the Administrative tab;
- press the "Change System Locale ..." button;
- hit OK or enter Administrator credentials, when prompted;
- the drop-down list of available Locale options appears.
- choose the appropriate Locale eg Chinese (PRC), Chinese (Taiwan) etc.
- hit OK. The system will need to reboot, for the change to take effect.

Anyone INTERESTED???

His intellect, political acumen, diverse talents and civic virtues won him the admiration and support of his subjects.
This exhibition showcases treasures from The Palace Museum, Beijing and offers visitors a rare glimpse into the Forbidden City - right here in Singapore.

The Niece...

Promised Karen 2 weeks ago that we will bring her to ECP to cycle but after her afternoon nap, there was a heavy downpour. She was so sad, she cried! KIDS.. what can I say, so last sat brought her and Keli to ECP. Oh ya, I also brought Angel along.. haha.. Had to cycle sooooo slowly cos Angel was on foot... I don want to be called the gal who killed her dog! haha.. Should have taken some angel running next to my bike.. haha.. Only manage to take photos of mt niece... Getting prettier and smarter each day.. :)

My dad came back last sunday.. So the three of us went to fetch him.. As usual, the flight back from Taiwan was delayed and we end up waiting one hour for him. ( I know there is a place to check in the net, but both Keli and I were outside.. so cannot check). Anyway, mei mei (that is how i call Karen) became very restless and I had to think of ways to keep her entertained.. So we decided to take photos in the airport..

Colleagues... SOT

Tuesday, March 31, 2009

Today has been a emotional day for me. Back to work from orientation yesterday. Had lunch with my colleagues. It's been great, fun and enjoyable. Then emotions came swirling by. I realise in 2 weeks time, I will miss my colleagues terribly.. They are the guys who keep me going in office when things go wrong during work. Guys, going to miss you! Don't forget me.. :p

But, I am embarking on a whole new journey at SOT! Can't wait for the 2 weeks to quickly go pass.. And I will be a full time student there at SOT! Ya-ta.... Orientation was fun yesterday. Had to do a 3 min drama on the movie "What women wants" and the theme was character. I was like. Wow. Such a movie. For a moment, I don't even remember what show was that until someone in my team said it was acted by Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt. Then I remembered a scene whereby Mel Gibson was waxing his leg.. That was classic. haha. For those who don't remember here's the poster for you:

My trips around Singapore

Tuesday, March 24, 2009

haha.. yesh yesh.. It has been long time since I updated my blog.. Been busy with my work... and ya, playing pet society.. haha....

Went to IT show last last Friday, Kimmie bought a laptop and a HDD while I bought a PINK mouse (see below pic) and anti-virus.. haha.. it was chaotic down there.. We had a purpose in finding what we want.. go for the kill and out we go.. seriously, it is TOO crowded.

The reciever of the mouse is apparently the world shortest.. it is even shorther then the USB plug.. haha.. so tiny. :)
Then last friday, went to Cafe Cartel with colleagues. All 10 of us.. Suppose to go to Swenson's, cos of the 1 for 1 lunch time promotion. But the queue is just too scary la.. I think we'll wait for a hour still cannot make it in the resturant. haha.. Anyway, we ordered the honey -something- pork ribs.. then for every 2 ribs ordered, a free honey pig soft toy will be given free to us.. so i quickly 'kope' it and it is hanging nicely at my office workstation.
